Welcome to the ETI website, your source for reliable taxonomic and biodiversity information (World Biodiversity Database, World Taxonomist Database) and the Linnaeus II software modules.

Linnaeus II is a freely available multifunctional information management tool for systematists and biodiversity researchers. It facilitates the creation of taxonomic databases, computer aided identification keys, interactive searchable distribution maps, literature and glossary modules for access on the web or on compact disk.

We publish your Linnaeus II taxonomic information system on CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or on the Web as part of our contribution to the GBIF Species Bank Programme. Also non-Linnaeus taxonomic information systems can be published. Want to know more? Please contact us at info@eti.uva.nl.
