3D imaging

ETI offers state-of-the-art facilities for 3D imaging of any desired object. These objects can then be turned 360° and viewed from any angle. The 3D images can be easily added to your Web site or viewed offline, using freely available software.

Our 3D imaging studio consists of a platform with a turntable and a robotic arm, a digital camera attached to the end of the arm, a lighting rig and a computer. An object is placed on the turntable after which the operator starts a computer program controlling the turntable, the robotic arm and the camera. Typically, an object is photographed from 180 different angles. After processing, these photographs merge into a single Quicktime VR file.

The entire studio is mobile and can be used anywhere. The equipment can be assembled and disassembled within a day. Click on the image on the right for a Quicktime VR scene of the ETI 3D studio. Dragging the mouse horizontally will demonstrate the movement of the turntable and dragging vertically will move the robotic arm. Alternatively, the cursor keys can be used.

Other examples of 3D imaging can be found in our Portfolio.
