Linnaeus II hints and tips - Glossary and Introduction

The Glossary module in version 2.x of Linnaeus II includes the function "Word Index" that runs through your texts and compiles a list of all words occurring in your project. The "Word Index" function is designed to help you fill the Glossary with terms and their synonyms occurring in the program. Word Index can also be used to check for spelling- and typing errors (although, of course, preparing your texts in a word processor is a safer option).

The Introduction module is meant to help users understand what your Linnaeus II program is all about. In principle it should include: an abstract, data on measurements, specific terms or identification characters used, geographic area dealt with, materials used, etc. You may comment upon each of the modules in your Linnaeus II program, elaborate on the taxa that are treated, taxonomic revisions you have done, but also work that will be done in future, problem areas, everything that helps to put the information system in its proper context.
